EXECUTIVE - TICKETING & RESERVATIONS - AIRLINES
Job Responsibilities
- Negotiate for special group bookings with Agents.
- Assist Direct Passengers with their email and telephone inquiries regarding fares/routes/baggage allowance and special services.
- Issuing fresh tickets to Direct Passengers and Travel Agents.
- Reissuing direct passengers and travel agents tickets due to Route Change / Date Change /Flight change/Flight Cancellation or miss connecting due to flight delays.
- Check queues daily and assist passengers and travels agents with the updates such as confirmation of special service request, inform the time limits of un-ticketed reservations.
- Assisting interline staff with their Staff listings and flight loads
- Sending request to get the confirmation for the waitlist seats
- Assist in achieving targeted revenue by extensive market coverage, optimizing on seat availability on high revenue volumes.
- Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a similar capacity at a reputed airline office and/or travel agency.
- A certificate level qualification in basic fares and ticketing/reservations from a reputed airline/institution would be advantageous.
- Expertise in airline reservation systems is a prerequisite for this position.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Sinhalese.
- A team player with a keen eye on detail.
