EXECUTIVE - TICKETING & RESERVATIONS - AIRLINES 

Job Responsibilities

•  Negotiate for special group bookings with Agents.
• Assist Direct Passengers with their email and telephone inquiries regarding fares/routes/baggage allowance and special services.
• Issuing fresh tickets to Direct Passengers and Travel Agents.
• Reissuing direct passengers and travel agents tickets due to Route Change / Date Change /Flight change/Flight Cancellation or miss connecting due to flight delays.
• Check queues daily and assist passengers and travels agents with the updates such as confirmation of special service request, inform the time limits of un-ticketed reservations.
• Assisting interline staff  with  their Staff listings and flight loads
• Sending request to get the confirmation for the waitlist seats
• Assist in achieving targeted revenue by extensive market coverage, optimizing on seat availability on high revenue volumes.
• Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management

Candidate Profile

•  Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a similar capacity at a reputed airline office and/or travel agency.
• A certificate level qualification in basic fares and ticketing/reservations from a reputed airline/institution would be advantageous.
• Expertise in airline reservation systems is a prerequisite for this position.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Sinhalese.
• A team player with a keen eye on detail.
