Full Job Description

Role Purpose:

A Finance Manager opportunity has arisen in our Sri Lanka COE, supporting the Capital Markets division in a pivotal time for the business. This role will report into the Finance Director, Capital Markets and will be part of the business partnering team of the Capital Markets division.

The successful candidate will combine excellent commercial, communication, and technical skills to provide robust financial insight for the division including reporting, planning, forecasting, and business partnering.

Whilst there are requirements for the successful candidate to oversee month-end, budgeting, forecasting and interactions with Group FP&A, the role will also have significant interface with the business, including business partnering with multiple direct reports of the CEO of London Stock Exchange plc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting robust month end review process across the cost/revenue base and support forecasting
  • Consolidating, analysing and providing information to management through monthly reporting packs and ad-hoc reporting decks
  • Perform financial analysis, modelling, validating and tracking cost synergy initiatives and outcomes
  • Provide insightful headcount analysis
  • Support end to end monthly business reviews (MBRs) and budgeting process, working with senior management
  • Provide commercial insight, analysis and decision support to senior management

  • Highly numerate with advanced excel / financial modelling and excellent analytical skills
  • Work autonomously and methodically, and able to organise/prioritise workload
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to influence
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • A bias for action, taking proactive steps to improve processes and information provided

  • Qualified chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with over 5 years post qualified experience, which includes accounting and business partnering activities (budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, strategy evaluation, analysis and insight)
  • Excellent use of MS Office packages, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Reporting, planning and accounting tools (e.g. Pyramid//SAP/Oracle) experience
  • Be a lead proponent in driving a collaborative culture across the division
  • Adaptable to working in a fast-changing environment
  • Strong process orientation with the ability to design robust reporting frameworks
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues globally
  • Fluency in written and spoken English including the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization 
  • Ability to work according to UK work hours
