Microsoft Dynamics 365 Retail Developer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dynamics 365 Retail Developer to join our team. As a Dynamics 365 Retail Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customised solutions on the Dynamics 365 Retail platform. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering high-quality software solutions that meet our clients' business requirements and enhance their retail operations and customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts and clients, to gather and analyse business requirements for retail solutions.
• Design and develop custom solutions using the Dynamics 365 Retail platform, including configurations, customisations, and extensions.
• Implement and integrate third-party applications, plugins, and components to enhance system functionality.
• Customise and extend the data model, entities, workflows, and business processes to align with clients' specific retail needs.
• Develop and maintain system integrations with other business systems, such as ERP, CRM, and e-commerce platforms.
• Create and modify reports, dashboards, and other data visualisation tools to provide meaningful insights to end-users.
• Conduct code reviews and perform quality assurance to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
• Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues and bugs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support end-to-end software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and features of the Dynamics 365 Retail platform and recommend improvements and optimisations.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Dynamics 365 Retail Developer or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of the Dynamics 365 Retail platform, including the underlying architecture, data model, and security model.
• Proficiency in configuring and customising Dynamics 365 Retail, including creating and modifying entities, workflows, business rules, and plugins.
• Experience with retail-specific features and modules in Dynamics 365 Retail, such as point of sale (POS), inventory management, pricing, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and integration with Dynamics 365 Retail.
• Knowledge of common integration patterns and technologies, such as RESTful APIs, SOAP, and OData.
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and optimising database performance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 Retail development or related areas.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and Azure Logic Apps.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
• Knowledge of agile software development methodologies.
