Job Description
We are looking for a number of Program Managers based in Sri Lanka to join the Chief Operating Officer (COO) Office in our Research and Development (R&D).
The main focus of the COO Office is to enable the R&D organization to rollout high-quality, products by ensuring planning and execution of our product releases, aligned ways of working, project management and communication according to the Rhythm of the Business.
You will be part of a team of program managers that are all involved in driving a number of cross-functional strategic programs and projects as well as transformation initiatives that are key to the future success of R&D.
Whilst your home will be the ‘Extended COO’ team within the COO Office, you will be allocated towards one specific product team where you will work closely with the leadership team and be responsible for the following areas:
- Drive implementation of agreed decisions
- Progress reporting to main stakeholders
- Project planning and communication
- Risk and stakeholder management
- Change management
- Create documentation, presentations and surveys
- Act on feedback to ensure continuous improvement
- Co-plan and facilitate our quarterly reviews and follow up actions
You will report to our Senior Program Manager within the COO-Office.
Qualifications
To be a successful Program Manager, having a positive attitude and a “can-do” mindset is key. We expect you to “think outside the box” and be a front runner when it comes to challenging status quo in the strive for improvements. You are open-minded, self-driven, take initiative and a quick learner.
We are looking for people that:
- Possess minimum seven years of documented experienced in project or program management
- Come with a solid project management toolbox
- Have solid experience in working in a matrix organization
- Have experience from a global organization working across various cultures and time zones
- Are confident in making decisions and ensuring execution
- Are excellent at managing change and stakeholders at all levels
- Have a proven ability to prioritize, negotiate and resolve conflicts across multiple initiatives
- Are confident in managing cross functional teams who do not report to you
- Are excellent team players who can blend easily with different functional teams
- Have a habit of learning and enjoy keep learning new things
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Have an operational focus and are not afraid to get their hands dirty.
