Job Description

Superloop is looking for a Purchasing Officer, responsible for Superloop’s procurement process, including managing purchase orders from requisition to receipt, payment and closure. Ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time, and that Superloop follows best practice procurement processes

Exetel’s Colombo office is located at CBD Business Center, Colombo 01 with AEST working hours.

What will you do?

  • Process Purchase Requests, and Purchase Orders and manage related enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Proactively following up on open orders and updating the ERP system.
  • Maintenance and tracking of all purchase orders from creation to delivery
  • Close liaison with Logistics and Warehouse regarding expected deliveries of stock and quantities expected.
  • Ensure all processes are documented and reviewed continuously for improvement
  • Manage vendor qualification and onboarding processes and procedures ensuring that our suppliers are compliant with our qualification criteria
  • Provide information relating to periodic supplier performance management
  • Generate Reports within our system when required
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Ad-hoc tasks and special projects assigned by Management
  • Working with Corporate Procurement Manager to minimise overstocks and removal of obsolete/redundant stock lines to maximise the availability of working capital
  • Assist in closing AP ledger during month end.
  • Match and follow up on purchase order discrepancies.
  • Liaise with suppliers or stakeholders to close out payment discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Receipt and Bill Purchase Orders within the ERP system.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement is preferred
  • Previous experience in a Procurement position.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Process improvement and optimisation mindset.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Team player with strong communication & interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively and build relationships with stakeholders of varying background and financial competency.
  • Highly self-driven, achievement orientated with a “can do” attitude and strong ability in exercising sound judgement on areas of ambiguity.
  • Able to learn and master new concepts, systems and processes quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Netsuite
  • Strong planning, analytical and organisational skills.
