Job Description

Superloop is looking for a Radio Operations Engineer to be part of the primary team responsible for operating and maintaining the Superloop Fixed Wireless Network. Radio Operations Engineers log and action technical support requests, taking ownership of raised issues and managing them to completion or to the specified handoff point.

Our Colombo office is located in CBD Business Centre, Colombo-1 with AEST working hours, 3 a.m. start at office.

What will you do?
● Implement, analyse, troubleshoot and develop wireless telecommunications technologies across the fixed wireless network, while maintaining quality and reliability;
● Troubleshoot and implement solutions in the event of hardware malfunctions and planned network upgrades;
● Configure Fixed Wireless hardware across multiple manufacturers;
● Coordinate with NOC and Field Engineers to ensure smooth provisioning and fault remediation;
● Provide escalation support for Fixed Wireless faults, and liaise with staff and/or customers accordingly;
● Monitor and analyse statistical and test data to improve system quality;
● Assist with capacity planning, frequency planning and frequency hopping by applying
carrier/interference (C/I) ratio analysis;
● Provide on-call and/or after-hours coverage as required.


Here's what you'll need:
● Previous experience supporting and configuring wireless networking technology - and
further more specific experience with Mikrotik, Cambium, Ubiquiti outdoor wireless
technology desired.;
● Previous customer support/service experience, preferably in the telecommunication industry;
● Strong written and verbal communication skills (English language);
● Sound technical (networking and fixed wireless) troubleshooting and analytical skills, as well as attention to detail;
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with evolving ways of working;
● Available for on-call and/or after-hours work as required;
● Knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, STP, VLAN)
● Understanding of wireless networking and application support is highly regarded.
