SUMMARY
As part of its efforts to amplify stories from underserved and marginalized communities, IREX has developed a citizen journalism platform to showcase stories that do not often appear in mainstream media. IREX hopes that this effort will contribute to the development of a highly skilled and ethical community of citizen journalists.

The video editor will collaborate closely with the IREX/PRO-INFO team to manage post-production, scheduling, and video publication on CitizensConnect's Facebook and TikTok platforms. They will coordinate with the team and consultants to finalize the content. This position is contingent on funding.

guidance from the IREX/PRO-INFO team.
• Craft engaging thumbnails for videos.
• Coordinate the scheduling and release of edited videos on CitizensConnect's social media
platforms, following IREX/PRO-INFO team's directives.
• Tailor videos to match the specifications and quality standards of diverse social media platforms.
• Guarantee punctual and precise video completion.

• Recognized credentials in video editing.
• Proficiency in Sinhala and/or Tamil, complemented by a solid understanding of English.
• Computer skills encompassing MS Office suites and other relevant communication applications.
• Robust interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a knack for teamwork and individual
initiative.
• Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively, demonstrating flexibility and adherence to
deadlines.
Compensation: This is a vendor position, and selected individuals/organizations will be compensated at
a rate per video they complete, as determined by IREX.

Applications will be evaluated based on whether CVs meet qualifications and cost appropriateness of daily rate.

How to apply : Interested individuals/organizations are requested to submit their portfolios with
summaries of prior experience and previous work in a similar field, and proposed rate per video (inclusive
of thumbnail template design) in LKR to [email protected]
