**HSBC Sri Lanka Internship Programme -Global Finance**

**What is the Area?**
**Finance**
HSBC Finance consists of several sub functions such as Regulatory Reporting, Group Financial Reporting, Asset Liability and Capital Management (ALCM), Finance Operations and Financial Planning and Analysis. As part of this internship, selected candidates will gain exposure in all these areas.
**Responsibilities**
+ Gain exposure across Finance teams including Regulatory Reporting, Group Financial Reporting, ALCM, Finance Operations, and Financial Planning & Analysis.
+ Support day-to-day Finance activities such as regulatory/Group reporting, third‑party payments, and tax clearance processes.
+ Build practical knowledge of HSBC products, services, and processes, and how Finance supports the wider bank.
+ Help strengthen controls by supporting implementation of audit and regulatory recommendations with Finance management.
**Requirements**
+ Following a degree or a Professional Qualification in Accounting and Finance.
+ Penultimate year undergraduate from a reputable local or overseas university.
+ Applicants pursuing professional or other qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) and similar qualifications must have completed at least one year of their course successfully.
+ Fresh graduates with total work experience that is less than 12 months.
+ Legally permitted to work in Sri Lanka.
+ Be fluent in English and have strong communication skills.
+ Knowledge in MS Office.
